Slick...all the Corsairs are Akron-built Goodyear FG-1Ds.

That would be nice if they flew over Andrews.

Dude, we need to grab a beer. I’m like 10-15 minutes from there.

I’ll hopefully work here for the next couple years before our contract is up.

Ah nice, so you’re on base? I live in Calvert, work in DC so I’m flexible. Drive bay Andrews every day. Twice.

Correct. I live up in Halethorpe and drive down daily. Long-ass commute but the base is a nice place to work if you don’t mind the aircraft noise.

Under an hour looks like, prototypical DC commute! Mine is about an hour. +30mn/-5mn
Well, if there is anywhere to get a beer or something over near (or on) Andrews, let me know. I can swing by there on the way home one day.

I just America’d so hard.

I’m clocking in at 1:10 on my commute in and 1:30 on the way back. They probably won’t let us in the officer’s club here haha. I’ll have a look at some local bars, because I’m definitely not going to the Eaglewolf as a first choice.

Oof, that’s unideal. Although this week mine was a solid 1.5hr each way.
Sounds good, let me know!

This is one of the good things about living in Northern VA. We get to see WWII airplanes in operation, regularly. And me? I don’t even have to go into DC; this flyover took a path right over my house and I got to see and hear it all from my own deck!
