Got the truck back.

The carpet is clean again and the seats aren’t crusty with mud and dirt anymore. And the floor mats are actually black. Who knew?

I replaced the third brake light bulbs. I can’t imagine why they weren’t working.

Also replaced the license plate light bulbs. No one ever seems to replace those around here when they burn out and I’m not sure why because you can definitely get a ticket for it.

Also, the truck has three Michelins with white lettering and one new no-name Walmart brand tire (with no white lettering). It bugged the shit out of me to have one tire looking different so I got a white paint marker.

Not perfect but better than nothing.

All that is left to do is fix the door speakers. It also has a little problem where it occasionally blows some righteous smoke upon startup. Apparently a valve seal issue where a tiny bit of oil seeps down and then burns off upon starting. Fairly common with the 4.3s and from what I’ve read, they can do that for pretty much the life of the truck with no major repercussions. I’ll just keep my eye on the oil level.

Drove it yesterday with the A/C blasting and actually got cold. I think I have one of the few remaining S10s with working A/C. I probably just jinxed that by typing this, but oh well.

When I bought some used wheels/tires, 2 had raised white letters. So I used a sharpie to color them in. “Close enough!"

Next on the list! It's been sewed before and ripped again. There's an automotive trim place up the road from me that I'm gonna take it to.
