RIP, Denise. Meeting you once wasn’t enough. Meeting you with my dad 40+ years after the last race he was crew chief for you, and watching the two of you light up when seeing each other for the first time since was a moment I’ll never forget. Dad has always spoken highly of you.
You deserve a real tribute. A personal one. I’m waiting for dad’s return call. I never got to ask you about him when he was your crew chief with Briggs’ OSCA. I’m not going to let that happen this time.
