I recently bought an xbox one, would you recommend this game over forza horizon 2?

I don’t own Horizon 2, but I know enough to say the two games are very different. H2 has much more forgiving handling, borderline arcade-y, but its strong suit seems to be open world, car selection, customization. Painting cars was one of my favorite things to do in other Forzas.

PCars is much more narrowly focused, and more concentrated, it seems to me. There’s no bolting on performance parts or painting custom liveries, but there is tuning. The car selection is fairly small, but there is a lot of variety. The selection definitely skews towards race cars, not road cars. If you love vintage Lotus F1 cars, you’ll be in heaven. If you want a track battle of Lancer Evo vs. STI, they only have the Evo - one Evo. But the track selection is really great, and the attention paid to each car is astonishing.

tl-dr: Horizon 2 = casual, arcade-y, PCars = pure, intense simulator. I think the two games are different enough that if you can buy both, you should.

I really can’t say, I never played iRacing, GTR, or any other of the hardcore sims. The physics feel a lot more detailed than Forza 4 - there seems like there’s more “stuff” going on, and affecting the input/output.

There’s about 6 more vintage Lotus cars in the works, just so you know. IIRC there’s the 25, 38, and 51 that I know of. It’s going to be awesome when they’re all done and out.

Haha, assuming money wasn’t a consideration (it still is for me, that’s why I’m asking).

I’d rather not give up the total top end sim experience and proper competition just for a small amount of cash saved

Are you playing on PC? I’m considering getting the game for PS4 when it comes out here but I’m undecided because of the low amount of cars.
