Dear Mustang owner, I know you want to feel better for having a six cylinder powertrain in your Muscle car but that doesn’t mean you can categorize it as a famous six cylinder from a completely different company.

Obligatory.

But what if it actually is powered by a VR6?
Dun dun duuuun!

I can imagine it being the least reliable engine swap in the world.

I don’t know if I should thank you for this.

And that’s said to be the most reliable power plant in VAG!

I don’t see the problem.
V-ery
R-ubbish
6-cylinder
Which the 4.0L SOHC is.

Up next... the Mustang GT W8

I think that particular model had the ‘even better’ 3.8L or 3.9L OHV V6...

Wow, now that I think about it that may be the craziest swap ever conceived.

And it’s especially crazy given it would likely result in a power decrease if swapped into a 2005+ GT. That engine only makes around 271HP.

Don’t care, had W8
