Technically they’re still allowed, but back in the day every gif would be on a different thread. It was ridiculous and perfect and amazing. That and theme days are now gone for whatever ctappy bureaucratic reason.

Right? I really don’t give a shit about political correctness, and I would bet quite a lot that neither did most of the ladies posing for pictures next to those cars.

If anyone is actually offended by seeing an aesthetically-pleasing person standing next to an aesthetically-pleasing automobile, they should willfully submit to a long, hard look in the mirror before passing judgement on others for simply enjoying two subjects of their own adoration simultaneously.

As a straight, white, middle-class, (and whatever other descriptors automatically demonize a person at this point [racism? sexism? only if it offends me and my tumblr account!]) man, I would not even bat an eyelash if anyone posted a picture of some scantily-clad men (or any other gender/sex/race/species/fetish/preference for that matter) posing with cars on oppositelock.

I understand that perhaps the proprietors of Gawker Media wish to keep their websites family-friendly (you know, like how Gawker, Deadspin, Jezebel, io9, Kotaku, Gizmodo and Lifehacker are all 100% g-rated???), but in this, the year 2015, when a 5 year old child with an iPad can easily access even the most obscure, depraved corners of the internet-based world of hardcore pornography, isn’t it about time to just give the people what they want?

You can’t be all things to all people, so why not be most things to most people?

Nearly the entirety of the western world is run by a ‘majority rules’ based system (aka: Democracy ). Why subjugate the overwhelming majority in order to appease the handful of (incoming pun) oppositions?
