And your car activates a smoke screen all by itself,

You may in fact have a very serious problem.

Oh my car is billowing smoke like a chimney? ¯\_()_/¯ We’ll just ignore that and pretend that nothing is happening.

I followed a Trailblazer that was smoking something blue and fierce for about 5 miles on the freeway last weekend, but not as bad as that. :p

My MJ did this a few times. Had a leaking trans cooler line that was dumping ATF onto the cat. Complete James Bond smokescreen going down the highway. Burning ATF smells a bit like celery, did you know?

I never thought I would compare the smell to celery....maybe older ATF, but ATF4+ I’m not sure. I know it when I smell it, but I wouldn’t compare it to food.

Well, likely what was in it was some combination of Dexron II and III. It wasn’t the greatest smell in the world, I’ll grant you, but there were some overtones in the smokey smell that made me think of celery. Like, old and nasty celery, but somehow still celery.
