By regular, I mean sub $5k. My vote goes to the Crown Vic P71. A couple weeks ago I was sitting at a stop sign in the A4 with the windows down, Cop went flying past me from a complete stop and the roar of that thing was HNGGHHHHHHH.
Here’s a random video clip from the Interwebz, just so you can get the picture.

Any 8000-rpm Honda or Celica/Matrix/Vibe
Soon enough the Dart and 500 Abarth will join the list due to their likely depreciation

The correct answer is any beater with a V8.

The Dart is already pretty low down there, but not $5,000 low. I’ve seen some going for like $12,000 with not many miles on it. I’ve only looked at manual transmission models though.

Mod motors just sound tasty. I do miss the CV with the Flow Master dual exhaust and K&N intake. RIP CV.

They really do sound delicious. You used to have one?

Was my mom's. She was going to give it to me just before she totaled it. Did a lot of work to it, and even still have a replacement front fender for it.

Ah, that’s awesome. Too bad it got totalled though, good thing about those things is that there is no shortage of them out there.

Don't forget that the Konegzegg engine is based on the Mod Motor and the originals were powered by them.

Whaaaat? Really, that’s awesome. Still will never know how to spell Koennegeseseg correctly, I remember on the Top Gear lap times board it would always be massive. Sigh. I miss TGUK already.

We bought our 2000 new and its still on its original tranny at 95k miles. but you have to admit that a minivan has no right to sound that good

I’m gonna have to say Alfa V6, in most configurations. Can be had for sub £5k over here :)

The VR6 engine is a gem.

The
