And other times they don’t and your extremely modified C7 Corvette Stingray runs the eighth mile in 4.11 seconds.

That’s 8th mile!

That’s an 8th mile, not 1/4.

Yea, thats as much a C7 as my motorcycle is a car. Seriously? He took 3/4 of the body and hung it on a tube chassis..... that is NOT a C7....

Well... That doesn't seem quite as absurd then.

I was thinking it’s as much a C7 as Bruce Jenner is a woman.

Sounds like a pro-mod. Can anyone tell what class this thing is running in?

I think I found it. http://www.dragzine.com/news/vanishing… It’s a 10.5 car.

I bet the engine can’t handle an entire 1/4th mile.

I’d hope that they don’t go through the trouble of starting off with a base C7. Just go buy some replacement body panels and slap em on a tube chassis, put a purpose built engine and drive line in and away you go.

Yes I’m a little suspicious that it actually started life as a base C7. They claim the body panels are original... but replacements could be had for cheaper than a whole car. Did the engine start life as a stock LT1 as well or is this just high-strung drag engine?
Either way, it’s still cool. I never have been much of a NHRA/drag fan but I always liked Thomas Patterson’s Headhunter that had a body resembling an evil 1953 C1. Obviously nothing about it was C1, but it was cool.
