So last night I test drove an 87 Chrylser Conquest. I’m not sure I’m going to buy it yet, as owning these cars is a commitment, and my wife isn’t very excited by the idea of me having a Summer, and Winter car lol. Altho I told her we’ll just get her a new car by November and I’ll keep her Cavilier as a winter beater for me.

Any way this is a wonderfully located Boost Gauge. the combination of watching it bounce, and hearing the turbos choochoocho made this Honda guy giggle like a school girl.

The worst part about factory boost gauges is typically the range.

14psi on a turbo? I used to hit over that with a supercharger.

Well these cars are set at 7 in factory spec, and the head, and internals can only handle about 15. The owner of the one I drove had it set at 10.5lbs and it get it plenty of pull.

14 psi that's cute.

I almost max my aftermarket one on my Talon. Only miss it by 2 psi

It probly wouldn’t be too hard to put an aftermarket one in front of the stock one. But yeah the Conquest/Starion only hit 7psi in stock trim probably why it only made 175HP. It was for sure a conservative tune.
