Can I borrow some Land Rover knowledge to pinpoint some problems with my Disco?
The screenshot is from my ODBII reader and piston app
And the following codes I received from my mechanic buddy who has a general domestic code reader in his shop. He wasn’t able to get any detailed code data to give me any clear ideas in order to resolve these problems. They all seem to be related to the secondary air injection system.
P0442
P1414
P1417
P1171
P0135
P0130
Any guidance or wisdom that you guys could share would be greatly appreciated. I’m sure that is it some sensor or maybe some aging seal or hose that is causing all of this but I would like to have a clear idea of what the hell I need to fix before I go spending money and time in fixing it. Regardless of the issue the truck seems to be running pretty well. She needs bushings, shocks, and tie rod ends, but that will have to wait until I am able to do the lift and am more settled into my new house. Not: I am not trying to cheap out, I just don’t want to throw parts at the problem without a clear fix in mind.
Have a Huayra launch and a P1 drift gif for your time if I wasted it.

Thanks, IIRC the SAI system was put into the 4.6 in order to make them California emissions compliant. So I may decide to get ambitious and remove the system since I do not have California emisisons here, and then see if I can clear the system out of the ECU (still need to figure out how to do that for the ACE suspension system delete I did last year)

Bank 1 O2 sensor, maybe, for those first three. I’d replace and see what happens.

From what I’m reading on the forums:
Replacing both front O2 sensors will clear P0130/P0135. Check wiring for water ingress. Some have said new 8mm leads and spark plugs have helped clear associated codes.
I dunno, I’m just spouting verbatim, but I’ve posted it to a couple of forums so we’ll see what they say.

Ok, sounds good. Interesting note, I had to rewire in an O2 sensor receiver on bank 2 because it was super corroded.

Thanks for the heads up. The wife told me last week, after I have constantly been talking about getting a new car and getting rid of one of our more than a decade old and seriously showing their wear cars, that I can get a new car when her student loan debt is paid off. Planning on getting some side/part-time gigs for the weekends and nights to generate some more income, in addition to bitcoin mining.
