well obviously the RHD vs LHD models, the wiper direction, the licence plate holder, the fog light poisition, and a lot of little details like the door handles and the the little silver reflector on the side bumper area on the front fender.

Is half the answer. The other is that almost uniquely in the world America requires orange sidelights which they combine with the indicators.
