Meant to post this yesterday but forgot. I seen one for these first time ever yesterday, it said Lexus HS250h on the back. Anyone seen or heard of this car before?

I think they were sold from the 2010 MY to 2012MY if I remember correctly. It’s a Camry drive train and it was the first car to have that new Lexus palm mouse system. (Again, if I remember correctly.)

came out for a couple years but was discontinued. Used Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy drive instead of the more performance based Lexus Hybrid Drive. Interesting factoid, the trunk carpeting was made from a special grass that grows at a very fast and the plastics in the trunk and other places come from some sort of seed. Kind of neat. It had a real low drag coefficient as well. Also, the catalytic converter had a coolant line wrapping around it to help get the engine to operating temps quicker. The interior was pretty awesome imo. I really liked how everything was setup. First Lexus to really push the imaginary line on the dash layout between controls and information, keeping the driver’s eye forward. It was not a rebadged US market Toyota product (Prius, Corolla). It was based more off a Toyota model in Japan. It was a very high tech car. A lot of neat engineering at the time but yes, not a very dynamic driving car. it was very torquey though. Electric wizards are always a neat driving feature. Since it isn’t a mid-engined, carbon fiber racecar, OPPO will still loath this thing and call it a “fancy Prius” or “fancy Corolla”. Those terms are completely false

Hmmm interesting. Didn't even know it existed.

All those feautures actually make this car seem pretty cool! Thanks for sharing.

First time I've ever seen one on the road before. Had no idea the car even existed.

It’s a Corolla with a Lexus badge.

are you saying you have to mow the trunk carpet? lol

I like innovative eco-cars. It means I don’t have to feel bad about my Porsche that turns gas into noise at the rate of 12mpg.

Amazing what wheels, color, and a lip kit can do. When executed properly.
Those tailights actually look pretty cool on a car that isn’t silver or white.
Still prefer the CT200h Tho. The Prius V you don’t mind being seen in.

They’re much more common in hatchback form (CT200h), but yes.

The front end is what turns me off this car. The CT is an awesome hatch though, would drive one.

Wow 12mpg? My truck does better than that in the city, it does about 14-15.

It’s running pretty rich. But it shoots flames, so I’ve decided to live with it.

LOL I don’t think it keeps growing :]

It’s a tarted up Prius.

Sorry to answer your question late (I saw this from your reliability post) but yes, I have heard of it. My dad had one. It was a fantastic car with good build quality. It drove very smoothly and got up to 37 mpg, and surprisingly for a Lexus the suspension felt tuned and didn’t wallow.

A few people on here have said it was a really good car as well. I believe it and the car is pretty interesting, I just can't believe I didn't see one until now.

In California they’re everywhere. In other place they’re virtually non-existent, which is probably why you didn’t see one until now. They came out in 2010.
At least in the US, the HS has depreciated quite largely, so you can pick a used one up for about the same price as a new Civic EX-L.

I see barely any hybrids in my city so that could be exactly why I haven't seen one before.

Hybrids typically don’t sell well in colder climates for some reason. (based on your photo)
