Grandma has a fully loaded 2009 Hyundai Genesis. Its just like the one above, with the full wings package that doesn’t say Hyundai anywhere on it... She keeps saying how its a bit too much car for her lately and she wants to downsize... I’m going to be driving the Civic up there to visit over Summer.... maybe she will want to trade! I’d love to have that!

TRADE

Dude. That would be epic. Grandma gets the small, reliable car she wants from someone she trusts and you get a major upgrade!

Tell your friends you bought a Bentley. They might believe you for that badge.

I’ve driven it about three times and its just fun. It’s nothing absurd but its quick enough and stylish and has all the options I’d need.
Her big issue is the fact that it depreciates so badly. She takes such a hit selling it... thats why she is considering this

At my school... yeah it would work honestly

If it has the 5.0, definitely try to trade. But once again, find out what she wants/needs first.

Yes trade!

Too be fair, Genesis is too much for a lot of people.

Sadly its only the 4.6...
Her big issue at this point is that the car has depreciated so so so badly. We looked into downsizing her before and the offers were so low because this car holds no value at all.
I have a 13 Civic we share on a lease. I live in Fl and she is in NJ. She picked the car out and actually enjoys driving it.
The trade would make sense since we’d both get what we really wanted.

Newer Civics don’t depreciate that much, so it’s a win-win for both parties!

I haven’t heard this song in ages!
But... this video....

Damn. But yeah, if she’s cool with it, make her the offer.

No accidents, original owner, under 50k miles... we went to trade it in last Summer... three dealers all offered less than $10k for it!

I’m 32 and I have a Buick Verano. I adore it. Super smooth, quiet, comfortable, and with enough features and quality to feel special. It’s about Civic-sized and gets decent mileage with plenty of power.
Something like that might be right up her alley.

Holy shit! Just goes to show what brands really mean.

One would think... oddly enough she is one of the only older ladies I know who is totally ANTI-American cars!
She had like 2 terrible experiences with them (according to her) and refuses to drive American anymore...

I really need to make a whole bunch of horrifying gifs from it.

Ah, I see. Then maybe an ILX?

I'd suggest hitting up the PBC for ATS deals, but seeing as she's an awful old bat who's too good for American cars, I would kindly suggest her to sit on a cactus.

I know there was some quality issues with the early ones, wonder why else they are depreciating so quickly.

Its all in the name. No one wants to take a luxury Hyundai seriously.
Grandma really hasn’t had any issues with it... except a leaking diff which they fixed for free because of the 10 year warranty.

Do trade! The Gensis is a cool enough car in my opinion. Keep us updated!
