A 17 year old kid with his license for 3.5 months [EDIT: IT WAS A PERMIT and he got it March 27] went through a stop sign and hit my BRZ and a Jeep Commander. I had no stop sign.

There were quite a few witnesses and everyone said it was his fault obviously, and that I wasn’t speeding or anything, and the kid signed saying it was his fault.

Here’s hoping it’s a write off so they give me a new car.

Well the initial quote was $10,000 - $15,000

I really hope it’s worse so they write it off. $15,001 is a write off but they might do it because it’s brand new and to get parts will be a hassle, and they have to rent me a car for the 3 weeks.

How did you get a quote the same day (and a Sunday at that). It doesn’t look more than $3500 to $4000 in damage to me. Still sucks that happened to your new car.

I know a guy who owns a shop, I just called him up. Maybe I’ll post more pictures, but the suspension is all fucked and needs to be replaced. Everything damaged needs to be replaced, because the car is so new they replace instead of *fix.

Well we should duct tape him to said stop sign until he can understand what it means. Some little shits drove quite quickly through my condos parking lot the other night, they stopped at the end to pick someone up, I knew they would be back. So I stood in the middle of the lot and they came back. I made them stop and gave them a long uncomfortable stare as I walked toward them. I said to get out, they didn’t. I was a Marine so maybe my methods are a bit harsh, but I think kids today need some more discipline.

I don’t think he’ll be driving for awhile. 3.5 month old license and does $10-15000 to one car $2000 to another and writes off his own. Insurance will go through the roof.

Are you okay? That’s the most important bit.

Damage doesn’t look too bad, new fender/hood/headlight/front valence, some suspension work, might not have tweaked the chassis at all. Shouldn’t be that hard to fix.

Really hoping it's a write off. I couldn't deal with driving a car that's been damaged that bad. If it's not a write off try and make sure it goes to the official Subaru dealer! Not some indie body shop.

When working the claim for my hail damage, they said at 70% value is when they would total it. That’s Geico. So, 10-15k/.7=21.5k value you need to be at or under to potentially be totaled by that math? that sound right?

Makes my own new FRs problems seem small. I was apparently can’t-park-and-hit one night so I have scratches and red paint on my rear. So pissed no one even left a note!

And then this morning someone decided to mow and blow clippings all over the silver paint... It seems to have stained as I brought it to the was as soon as I saw it...
