My sister is looking for her first car, and I’m tasked with finding a suitable car.
She likes the Suzuki Jimny, and they are cool cars, I just want to know what other alternatives there are.
She is looking for:
- Reliable
- must be able to seat 4
- Fun looking
- easy to live with
- small is better
- 4x4 or AWD is a bonus but not needed
- Automatic would also be a bonus, but it is not needed.
- Weight is the only problem, low is better
- budget 3000-3.500

The Jimny is a cool little thing if you use it correctly and sparsely, in a DD scenario it is uncomfortable, cramped and has the same amenities as a Moroccan prison made with Fisher Price plastics.
I’d suggest the classic 2 door small SUV things: The Vitara 2 door, The RAV4 2 door (any model year really) and MAYBE the Daihatsu Terios. (I’m partial to the Pajero/Montero/Shogun 2 door that is a bit too big but indestructible, safe, comfy and it kinda looks like it is smiling)
And the other Offroady small cars: Panda Cross thingy, Suzuki/Fiat whatever-its-called.
What I’d pick but you won’t like: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv…
Something that is actually a good choice probably: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv…

Let me check...
Fun looking, automatic, seats 4, easy to live with in, sounds right.

Why not? there must be some people that want those right? they are about the smallest SUV you can/could get.
I sat in a 2015 model last week and they are really basic. Suzuki man told us that the Jimny’s mechanics hasn’t changed in 13 years because its good. They are quite expensive for what you get, a bare but reliable car, they cost about 22.000 euro. The automatic is more expensive at 24.000 euro.
