Yes, we have a Peugeot 205 minus something, a roof in this case.
Meet the convertible, which you could get in GTI spec if you wished and the owner of this one so wished.
Haven’t seen one, or any variety of 205, in years.

Scared the crap out of me. For some reason that translated to today being the 5th and my rent is now late. Thanks!

205s are all gone there? They’re still quite common here. They were sold until 1998 or so and are reliable and cheap to run.

Gone so far as I know. I certainly can’t recall seeing any recently. It’s becoming unusual to see a pre-2000 car.
The 206 is becoming scarce as well, surviving ones are usually quite tatty now.

Strange market. I’m in Germany (Western part) right now. Looking outside at parked cars I see in a row: mk3 Golf, early Ford Galaxy, newish Seat Ibiza, previous gen Ford Fiesta, Daihatsu Applause (that one is rare), mk1 Ford Ka, previous gen Opel Astra, current Renault Scenic. 8 cars, 3 or 4 (depending on the Ka) from the 90s. Cars driving around, especially on the highway, tend to be a lot newer than what you see parked around though.
