At this point it’s almost a cliché to mention this piece of writing on derby day, but it really is a phenomenal work. Great sample of Hunter S. Thompson for both those familiar and unfamiliar with his work. I know I’ll be giving it a read through, even though my parents, siblings, and sibling’s spouses are currently participating in the decadence and depravity.
