is the nb easier to bleed than the NA. not that the NA is hard but I think mostly people who dont work on things think its really hard for some reason.

You are talking about bleeding the coolant? Like via the valve on the bottom or are you talking about burping the system? Either way I found it extremely easy to do on this car. That whole job was way easier than I expected.

What did you do?! What did you use?!

Sweet! Did you wax it and such as well? Also, protip, tire shine adds the last little touch to make a clean car look even cleaner. I’d recommend the Meguiars Tire Gel on a small foam pad. (At work we use 4 inch buffing pads, cut in half)

I usually really do not like the shiny tire look. But I haven’t tried it on my miata yet. I do have some tire shine stuff but not sure if it’s any good. Anyways, I washed, clay bar, polished a few spots, and then waxed. Pretty sure everything I used was meguiars actually. Cleaned the top and the interior real well also.

I always enjoy seeing how clean some cars are on r/miata.

Wash (meguiars gold wash/wax), clay (can't remember the brand), polish (meguiars rubbing compound), wax (carnauba wax). It took a while to clay the whole thing but I think it's totally worth it!

Clay is a great tool. I’m just about out of my MEGS clay, don’t know what I’m gonna replace it with, but I’m thinking Chemical Guy’s Clay Block V2 is probably the front runner. What wax did you use? Do you have a polisher yet? When did you get into detailing?

I’ll post a picture of all the stuff I use at some point. I know the wax is some sort of carnauba wax in a gold short jar. I have been too worried that I will damage my paint by using a polisher so I haven’t bought one yet. I definitely am interested in getting one though. I only got into detailing when I bought my miata in November. Since it was actually worth the effort.

Look into Poorboy’s Natural Look, works great for giving you a matte shine on your tires and can be used on interior vinyls and plastics. I use it on my C300 outside and inside and it works very well.
You can let it dry and add another coat it will get shinier but I stick with 1 coat. I don’t like shiny tires so this works well for me.

Definitely post pics of your ‘arsenal’!
If you get a DA polisher you really can not hurt your paint, just of you get a rotary you can. Look at the Porter Cable 7424XP, Griot’s Garage 6in DA, and the Chemical Guy’s TORQ 10FX if you want to get one!
That's cool, I got into detailing last July when I got my Acura(also my first car cause I'm only 16)and it has turned into quite the obsession for me lol!

What makes a rotary so dangerous?

A rotary polisher is just an orbital polisher that spins in a circle with no outwardly throw. It is forced rotation, so if you apply too much pressure or go at the wrong speed you can generate a ton of heat and burn straight through your clear coat. A DA spins and oscillates, and has a built in clutch that just lets the pad vibrate against the paint when too much pressure is applied. It is virtually impossible to hurt your paint with one. Check out Chemical Guys’ videos on YouTube as well as AutoGeek’s videos, Ammo NYC’s, /DRIVECLEAN videos, and Auto Fetish Detail’s videos to learn a ton!!!! I would also recommend checking out Chemical Guy’s forum and AutoGeek.net’s forum, there is a ton of info available on those. I mention Chemical Guys so much just because they are my favorite products, there are plenty of other great products out there so don’t feel like you are confined to just one brand. All the brands get bashed for something somewhere by someone, so you have to take that stuff with a grain of salt sometimes. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!!!
