Mercedes seems to like putting premiums on not-that-nice cars. The A4 is about $5,000 cheaper, and the 3-Series is about $7,000 cheaper. Both of which are better cars.

You could just as easily get a well-equipped CLA for that price, smaller car but still. 3-series is best bargain, it’s even $1000 cheaper than the ATS.
