I think they are inferring the presence of the prom dress from the floating head and arms. The gun can be seen because of the invisible shadow over the guy and the scope rings floating in midair.

I’m going with real rednecks, but townie rednecks. His pants are too clean for country rednecks and the backwards hat is throwing me off. The beard is slightly unruly and there definitely appears to be sunburn on the top of the shoulders and one can only assume on the back as well indicating some level of redneckness.
