You may laugh at the National High School Xylophone-And-Also-Dance-Drums Competition, but that is because you are a jerk. I’m pretty sure this is also how they recruit for Stomp and the Blue Man Group and you are also very jelly.
Oh, yeah, before I forget, this is definitely not from the National High School Xylophone-And-Also-Dance-Drums Competition. I don’t know what the hell this is. But it’s pretty great.

I did two DCI seasons playing the vibraphone back in high school. Definitely brings back memories of that! Seems like cheating to get to play indoors though haha.

This is called WinterGuard International, and no it’s not just Asians. The video you show is just kids in high school, there are professional ensembles of this stuff. Incredible talent. It all takes place on a mat (typically an old billboard fabric) the size of a basketball court. As you can assume, there are a large alottment of points available on General Effect (GE) that’s why all the costumes and dancing

You’re right, in that Stomp and the like pull from professional drum teams, usually from DCI competitions.
This looks like quite a few of the high school corps that I marched with/around.
