According to the rules, that counts as an improvised weapon and has a - 2 to hit unless you have at least one level in that proficiency.

Additionally , unless the stick is forged from mithril or better, it has a 1d3 chance to break with each swing. If it does, you are staggered for the next round. Also, when it breaks the severed Nokia has a 1d3 chance of dealing 4d6 damage to the wielder.
