So a few weeks ago I noticed a few rust holes in the slobalts muffler and exhaust and was thinking of upgrading. A full cat back system would be 750 direct from borla. are they worth the price?

Is it an SS?
It may not sound great, and it might hurt the resale value.

In my personal experience, Borla exhausts are very loud and brash. I personally prefer Corsa, and would go with their quieter Touring model, if its available for your application. Loud exhausts are great for about a week on a DD, after that you want to shoot yourself.

probably a waste on a cobalt but they make good stuff and my camaro sounded dope with borla cat back on it.

I bought a Borla for my 09 lancer gts 2.4 after a lot of research. LOVED IT. Worth every penny. In fact, I just picked up a BRZ a couple of days ago and I’m already looking at Borla’s. When I got rid of the Lancer, I gave the exhaust to a buddy with a slowbalt, took a little bit of modding, but when it was on it sounded just as good. So I say go for it.

Well when we get rid of my saturn my wife will get the new car and we plan on keeping the cobalt for a while so I just thought I might as well replace the damaged one with something of quality rather than some autozone special

Hmm there’s an idea, try and find a second hand unit

if it was my car I would find a cheaper solution. or weld up an exhaust with stainless tubing and a universal muffler.
