Summer is coming early! 85 degrees with 90% humidity at 6:30 in the morning. Yay!

I do miss Florida sometimes. Would never want to live there, but spring is usually enjoyable.

I hate this place.

By “spring” I assume you mean the time of year that everyone else calls “winter.”

I never knew you lived in florida!

Didn’t live there, I’ve just been down a fair amount when I was a kid (on average once a year from being born until 14). My grandmother has a place down there.

Pretty much, yeah. March/April is technically spring, but actually winter.
![]() 04/27/2015 at 08:30 |

Oh. Despite my ancestral heritage being from florida I have never been. Some day!

March/April are okayish sometimes depending on the weather, but summer (by summer, I mean stupid hot and stupid humid) usually starts around mid-March. In the last few years, even December has been hot and we’ve mostly only had January and February to cool off. For three years in a row, I’ve had the AC on on Christmas.

Whereabouts are you in Florida?

You aren’t missing anything. It’s terrible.

Ft. Myers. Up north it’s not as bad.

I’m usually on the other side in Pompano Beach.

Pompano’s pretty similar. Seems a little less humid to me though since you at least have the Atlantic there. The Gulf of Mexico is as warm as a bathtub most of the year and we have the Everglades on the other side, so any breeze we get here is just amping up the humidity even more.

I’d probably be fine, I used to live in Ghana.

God knows that some days I really miss it. But I’ll take my 3-4 weeks a year down there visiting family. Hopefully as I move further along in my career I can spend more time there, but I will never live there full time for the same reason I love to visit. 85 and 90% humidity before I get out of bed haha.

Va Beach gets enveloped in a bubble of intense humidity for a few months of the year. Nothing beats air you have to chew before you can breathe it.

I cannot wait to move away from here. Just like you said, to live here is miserable. But maybe a week here or there would be much much better.
I want snow, and cold air!

Glad I’m not alone!
Can’t wait to get out

You are not missing a damn thing. If you want to see a nice beach, go to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, Al, basically Florida, but cheaper. Plenty of stuff to do as well.

Yup you are spot on!
The past few years, our “winter” has been around 50 degrees which is really depressing. Haven’t used the heat once in the last two years.

Yes you say this...but I must visit. I am going to Hileah and you can’t stop me.

The grass is always greener... Keep that in mind.

What is there? It looks like another sketchy part of the sketchiest city in Florida.

I don’t know man, but I am going to find out. That is where my family is from.

It’s only 80 out here on the beach. 1000% humidity 24/7 though.
