An interesting thing about owning an FR-s

Is how much attention it gets.

With my Si, I occasionally was stopped or asked about the car. Most of it was very straight forward or very ricer-centric. (“Nice JDM”)

With the FR-s I am getting two distinct reactions:

1) What is that?

2) Nice car

It is a lot of fun though, and the audience is varied. Everything from a man probably in his 60’s to the 16 year old at the drive-through window.

Other Toybaru owners out there, has your experience been the same?

They still turn my head when I see one.

So much so that I’ve considered getting one on the cheap and strapping a blower to it.

A blower to an FR-s/ BRZ? I’d like to see that, but it would be so confusing!

A lot of good looking hoods out there too for these:

On getting one on the cheap? They aren’t really depreciating much, so you might wait a couple years (or just buy new). 2013s with ~20k miles are still $21-22.

Nah I can find low mile examples for under 20k easily.

Then damn you!

The only under $20k I could find was mid 40’s for $18k. At that I just bought new.

Yup. Same reactions here. Most don't even know what it is. I'm impressed when somebody knows.
