For $5. Ordered a serial to USB adapter. Let the driver battle begin!

Wacom's older tabs work remarkably well with newer operating systems. Mine isn't as old as yours - it's USB - but I haven't had any issues getting it to work from Windows XP to 10

How do you people use these old mice without the scroll wheels? One of my co-workers (not even in the graphic design field - we’re CAD drafters) has an incredibly old mouse that also doesn’t have a scroll wheel. She’s the only one in the whole office using that mouse.
I don’t know how anyone can use that.

I’ll probably be buying a newer one in the next few years for school so I figured this one would be good to learn on. I have an XP machine that has no drawing program so I’m hoping I can get the drivers right for 8.1 or Mac.

This one has a wheel on the side. I’ve never actually drawn with anything other than a regular mouse so this is all new to me.

wacom's page is ambiguous when it comes to getting the right legacy drivers. I just set the tab up on my wife's box (8.1) and if I remember right I had to use the legacy 7 bits.
