So for some reason I really really want one of these
(not my pic)
Old Chinese cars are really interesting to me. They’re so... mysterious

Mysterious is the word. Built in small numbers in state-run factories in a country that had yet to really open up to the outside world and didn’t yet allow for private car ownership. Very little was even known about them in the West in the pre-Internet days.
Plus, I’ve always had a thing for vintage cars that companies just sort of forgot to stop building - SH760, Chaika M13, Hindustan Ambassador, Checker, etc. Anachronisms can be cool.

That’s why they’re interesting! ...because no one’s interested in them. It would be fun to import one to America though, I wonder if they’d let you.
Me too, check out the Polonez, Polski Fiat 126p, Zuk, Nysa if that interests you

If you wanted to import one, you’d have to find one first. They built less than 80,000 of them over 25 years and most of them led pretty hard lives. If you could get one, there shouldn’t be any problem bringing it here, all but the very last year of production would be 25+ years old.

Well, there’s an adventure for some far-away day.
Maybe I could start a collection. Hah
