Love those things. If they didn’t cost as much as a house, I would sell my house and live in one.

HOLY shee ite.

But you could sell the house for as much as a house.

Achievement Unlocked: Can we get some some bolts in here? Nope!

Am I correct in counting 3 rows of bolts / nuts there? I get that the inside row is what holds the wheel on, but what do the other two rows do?

Adapter, wheel, beadlock.

I shit you not it’s in for a tire rotation and the tech is getting paid flat rate.

Out of curiosity, how much do each of those wheel and tires weigh? That spare appears to be relatively high off the ground, and I have to wonder how difficult it would be to change on the road.

I have no idea. Sorry.

Thats more bolts on one wheel than my entire car :P

So, this probably cannot go on a lift for multiple reasons, right?

Holy WTF, man?
![]() 04/24/2015 at 14:19 |

I would assume not, but I’m not a tech so I’m not sure. I can’t imagine it even driving under the top bar of the lift.
![]() 04/24/2015 at 18:35 |

Wouldn’t that be the same as just a typical Super Duty tire rotation then? Besides being MUCH heavier (I didn’t know that was actually possible)
Flat Rate sucks. I’m glad I’m not on it for now.

There’s no way it would fit under any lift I’ve seen/used that had a top bar, plus I’m sure the truck is super heavy. And the weight balance is probably killer too, there probably really is no safe way to lift it other than maybe, just maybe portable wheel lifts which you couldn’t use for a tire rotation

You would think, but the tech said they all had to come apart.

Ugh. I’m really happy now I’ll never see one of these trucks here. I’ll take normal steelies on a SD any day now.

Where’s “here”? I never expected one in small town Vermont, with Montana plates.

Western PA. I suppose it’s possible, but I still highly doubt I’ll ever see one
