So, yesterday I asked for suggestions for the name of my Personal Watercraft blog here on oppo and got a few suggestions.
Originally, I really liked the idea lf RoosterTales. It almost made the win. But then, thinking about a few things a bit too boring to discuss at length. RoosterTail won out.
Those who aren’t too familiar with PWCs or boating who are wondering what a rooster tail is, it’s the jet of water that gets kicked up in the air behind powerful and fast boats when they are accelerating. This kicked up water often has a high and curved shape, reminiscent of a rooster’s tail.
So there you have it!

It’s also distinctive to PWCs in a way that few other things are, because most PWCs are designed to eject water through a port upward for visibility. Nothing has a distinctive roostertail quite like a PWC does, so in that sense it’s perfect.
