I photographed this airliner on final to AUS on Tuesday, and I was going to post it and ask if anybody could help me ID it. I have since solved the mystery, so I leave it here now as a “Guess The Plane” post. Saying it is a 737 will not suffice. Go!

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! I recognized the military markings, but I had never seen that particular livery before.

Nope. For Sweden nailed it. It’s a
C-40 Clipper
, the military version of the 737-300. This particular one is wearing a US Navy livery.

Nope. The numbers on the tail and nose are clearly military. It’s a
C-40 Clipper
, the military version of the Boeing 737-700. This particular one is wearing a US Navy paint job.

tail numbers are clearly no help, likely because military.

Clever. Didn't even think about the military route. Cool!

I didn’t either, since AUS is a civilian airport. They do have a TX NG facility there, though.
