V12 in that car doesn’t exactly sound like much if I’m being honest, but admittedly, the SL600 doesn’t make much of a racket until you really get into it (really starts to sing above 3000rpm).

Makes decent power, but not much noise.

back when i was flipp’in cars I picked up a 96 850, for 2500 at auction. engine was shot. guy who bought it did a 350 swap. so yeah go for it!

I wouldn’t want to toss that much money at that specific car. It’s expensive enough just keeping them on the road, once you start modifying it, the expense goes up from there.

Having tried searching for a simple exhaust for my SL600 and remembering the results, this isn’t surprising me. Cheaper than a whole new engine and management system? I’m not so sure.
