I had some free time at work a couple of weeks ago so I wrote up a new In Plain Sight installment on an awesome Honda Civic Si hatch I saw a while back. Turns out I never saved the document - how? no clue - and the most recent autorecover file I can find is right before I left it to breathe before lunch, came back and re-wrote most of it about 1000x better.
I started today all inspired to write, but now I'm can't stop staring at the thousand words I have so far and trying in vain to remember how I changed everything. I can't look at any of the structure I have now without thinking that it could be so much better, was so much better, but now that version is lost forever. I'm mostly annoyed because I spent hours combing various articles and YouTube videos to come up with a perfect middle-of-the-road explainer for VTEC, and now most of that knowledge has left my brain in the intervening weeks.
I may just delete everything tonight and start fresh tomorrow. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to this feeling.

Yup, I know that feeling. Step away for a bit and come back to it later. Just remember to save this time. :)

Easy,
No VTEC Street cam - Like your mother wants you to drive when she is looking- smooth with good economy. Keep the engine below 5200 rpm.
VTEC - Race Cam - Like your dad wishes drives when nobody is looking. Screaming and not so good economy. Keep engine below rev limiter.
VTEC gives you all the goodness of a race cam, and lets you hide it when mother is looking.....
