Persuant to CounterTorqueSteer's suggestion.

What a fantastically ridiculous race car.
It probably never should have been one, but it kicked ass.

Maybe you should have just bought a Falcon lol
I just mean it was designed to be such a standard boring car, designers sometimes don't MEAN to give us an awesome platform to work with, sometimes we get lucky.

If liking one's Falcons with pickup beds is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Unrelated, but I talked to 505 on Friday, and I agree that there needs to be a Frankensteinian Matra Rancho project consortium at some point.

I'm dead serious, I'll donate my 4000 for its drivetrain and the 2.0TDI engine core I have. In fact, I think I have a spare transmission and rear subframe with diff.

That's what I was saying - you can't really make a Rancho a real offroader, but as a sort of mutant weird softroader fiberglass van, you can do amazing things. Particularly with it being support frame-based.

Plus, the 4000 has vacuum locking center & rear differentials. It'll go places that surprise trucks.

What's the old phrase? It's just so crazy it might work?
