At a March 27 ceremony held at 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec, this year's Demonstration CF-18 Hornet was unveiled featuring a special livery commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain (La Bataille d'Angleterre).
The left tail shows the following details: the inscription 4e Escadre / 4 Wing Cold Lake on top; the tri-colour tail flash identifying Commonwealth aircraft of the time; Sir Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister during the Battle of Britain, a daytime Luftwaffe bomber, St. Paul's Cathedral in London, seen through the smoke of the Blitz, a Canadian pilot, and a 1940s Hurricane from No. 1 (later renamed 401) Squadron of the RCAF.
The right tail shows the following details: the inscription 3e Escadre / 3 Wing Bagotville on top; the tri-colour tail flash identifying Commonwealth aircraft of the time; Flight Lieutenant Gordon Roy MacGregor, a member of No. 1 Squadron, who became an Ace during the battle, An aerial view of a German Heinkel He 111 bomber flying over the London dockyards and a German fighter aircraft, the Messerschmitt Me 109.
