If I was buying a new car I would be such a piece of crap to deal with. I would want to watch it come off the truck while I hug it. and then I would want to be the one to take off the plastic. and take tons of photos.

YES!!! Congrats! Make sure they take the suspension shipping pucks out of the fronts before you drive off (notice the immense fender gap that will go down after they're out).

They should be by now, but when I got my car all the way back in June, it was the first one my dealer had gotten so they didn't know these were in there (despite me telling them a few times lol).

Awesome! I see you got the performance pack which makes it even better.
What I disliked about the packaging in the US is that you can't get plaid with a sunroof and a manual. Either sunroof and leather or no sunroof.

I picked up my new ‘15 GTI Autobahn performance package car yesterday, and returned it this AM to have the dealer remove the six pucks (3 on each side).
Anything that resembles “enthusiastic driving” is downright frigthening with these pucks installed, and the front suspension CRASHES! over even small road imperfections.
Leaving them in for a “considerable amount of time” - whatever that is - will destory the front upper strut mounts (see image below).
On another note, the seats on my ‘15 Aut0bahn are softer than those in my ‘ 13 Autobahn - as though they’ve been “Americanized” through the use of softer and cheaper foam. Despite having more adjustments, the ‘13 seats were more supportive - especially for anyone who had back problems. They has less “give” to them in the backrest and sitting cushions.
