Formula Drift is growing up but it's still mostly a bunch of starving owners/drivers. So there is a fair amount of sponsorship visible, but in many respects it's amateur hour.
Over the last several years they've made some improvements but yesterday I saw one significant setback. I cringed every time they went down to the pits to interview the drivers. The new interviewer had trouble pronouncing names and coming up with a question different then what the drivers just answered.
Her interview with Ryan Tuerck was the best one I saw, but I was braced for impact throughout. If you're going to be interviewing drivers, there's only 32 qualifier names to learn. You ought to learn them before you end up on camera with them.
Here's a link to the top 16.
