So I watched it last weekend... And had to fight back tears in the theater. The ending of Furious 7 just tore me up, even just talking about it a week later. I was thinking about not uploading it as I got emotional, but then I just edited it and put it up. It was raw, real and from the heart.

Don't watch the video if you have not watched Furious 7 yet and don't want to be spoiled as I talk about the ending.

I wonder how many fellow OPPO's got emotional watching Furious 7.

I'm supposed to see it tonight. Will I be crying because Paul Walker, or because it's ridiculous?

Dude, I was choking up in the theater too. That tribute was just gut wrenching.

It's ridiculously fun the whole way through, and if you're not a machine, there's a chance the end is gonna open the floodgates a little bit. I know I was fighting to hold it back... My wife though, and others in the packed theater, I could hear them just let loose. It is just so... damn... sad.

ARGH! I wanna reply to the main thread but POS Kinja won't let me, so I'll reply here (no offense bossyboss).

Anyway, the wife and I always enjoy watching the FF movies for their over-the-top action and entertainment, plus I love cars so it just makes sense. We've been looking forward to 7 and after reading so many personal reviews and hearing so much about it, I've really been anxious to see how it really was, especially the ending tribute.

The movie really was a thrill ride from start to finish, and despite being 137 minutes long, it never felt like it was dragging things out.

But that ending... GOD. DAMN. That ending. It just put a knife in my stomach. Holy crap I was fighting to hold back the waterworks. It really was an awesome tribute to Mr. Walker and a proper send-off, but despite everything I'd read and warnings for "preparedness", I was not prepared for that. My wife and many others in the packed theater just let their faucets run and many just sat there when the credits began rolling.

Everyone, go see the movie. It's fun and action-packed from the get-go. But be warned: The final 5 minutes will likely have 95% of those in attendance like this:

For real. It's beautiful and respectful and fitting, but holy Christ it's just so fucking sad. Everything Dom is saying at the end to Brian, you just know is actually Vin Diesel really talking about Paul Walker. Trust me, you'll know when you watch it. Oh man... I gotta stop. *who's cutting onions dammit?!"

It was the best tribute to Paul Walker they could have come up with. Such a great job.

It is a "Fast and Furious" movie. But the ending will probably hit you right in the feels like it did me.

Yeah, like you said, I thought they were going to kill off his character and maybe have a sad moment where they all grieve for him, but the way they sent him off was so bittersweet it was much more emotional. When he pulls up and flashes that trademark grin and you know it's the last time you'll see him, man, that's heavy.

It really drives home how quickly you can loose everything. I used to drive like an absolute maniac when I was younger, but after I rolled my first car doing some dumb shit (and thankfully walked away without a scratch) it made me realize how close I'd come to death or injury so many times that I reigned it in 100% on the street. All it takes is one little part failure at the wrong time and that's it, you cease to exist. And for what? A cheap thrill? It's not worth it.

I teared up, it was one of the most amazing tributes one can give to a friend. How often do you get to give your best friend/ brother a eulogy in such a way?

Not often. And I am so glad they did it this way.

I remembered that they said they wouldn't just kill him off. But I did not expect it to be such a good send off.

I don't think anyone expected that. It is the reason why I did not look at anything Furious 7 related and wanted to watch it asap. And I am glad I did. The delivery was much more powerful this way.

I don't think anybody truly knew what to expect. I had not thought of it beforehand to be honest. But you are absolutely correct, and the song to accompany it.

I saw it tonight. Good flick.

Also, I prepared myself for the ending. I did not get misty.

I could have been prepared had I read reviews and spoiled myself, but I bet I would have been blindsided anyway. The older I get the more things start to turn similar. And with the character on screen ending up with roughly the same family consistency as I have currently I just choked up, and a week later just talking about it I couldn't... while driving no less. I guess I could not divert enough resources to the "do not weep" department.

I knew the ending would be sad (a tribute to PW). The preparation included a couple of beers and mass quantities of ice cream (we watched it at a "movie grill", like the Alamo Drafthouse).

Also, if you haven't gone to the Drafthouse in Addison, GO.

Not sure why I would be offended. I have developed quite the skill at holding in my tears, but I agree, it did really make me want to cry. Well put.

I just meant it as "I wanted to reply to the main thread, not you (no offense)" lol.

It's been almost two days since seeing 7 and that ending is still running through my mind.

interesting story about the movie.

I went with my best friend who is a girl, and a huge car nut. Outside, I parked my GLi next to my buddy's mustang, an FR-S, a miata, a 240z, a 240sx and a legacy 2.5GT. There were 7 cars in total

When we walked out to my GLi, her and I were tearing up. Then ,we saw the guys standing around their cars. They were all talking about the movie. After a brief exchange of hellos, we decided to do the only just thing for paul

We got in our cars, turned them on, and waited for them to warm up.

Then, on a count of three, we all revved our cars three times. The only way we could say thank you and goodbye was through an automotive 21-gun salute
