okay so 2200 at peak, probably around 2500 rpm which means that torque is...carry the 1....
crap.

So much torque steer you'll be steering in the fourth dimension.

Where are you studying?

SUNY New Paltz, a little hipster enclave in Hudson Valley NY area that's known for it's art and business school filled with upstate farm kids aspiring to be the "I from Brooklyn, is that organic?" hipster and everyone else that supposedly from "da City yo" but have no clue what the wu tang clan is. Also the bio department is one of those after thoughts that just exists for the sake of state funding (going here wasn't exactly a well researched, thought out decision on my part lol). Where do you go?
![]() 04/09/2015 at 03:09 |

I'm at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). SUNY New Paltz sounds interesting

How is UCSB? I know a couple of professors that did their bachelors their and they always smile when ever it comes up but never explain why. New Paltz is interesting but when you see your high school friends go to bigger schools, get better educations, and have more fun it really bugs you especially when your paying full tuition and advisors tell you to take classes else where cuz whole departments suck (ie the math department).

UCSB rocks. My dorm is 268 steps from the beach and we're one of the top research schools in the country. The car culture around here isn't too bad either

Jesus!, heaven does exist! Man do I wish I had gone out of state. All we have is rusted out legacy wagons, rusted out volvo 240s, a sea of beige (both domestic and import), a few unicorns (someone in town has a alfa 164, an elise pops up once in a while, and there are a few others), and a few "sports cars" (various gens of automatic base model mustangs). We also have a few sports cars owned by the Turkish international students (m6 v10, corvette stingray, and a r35 gtr) but the Turks/their cars are the definition of douche mobile (they like to drive up and down the same street making as much noise as possible to get attention).

UCSB is next to a community called Montecito, and I go to their cars and coffee. I've seen classic Ferraries and carved canyons with a pre war Bugatti. At C&C last week, there were 2 original 289 Coabras https://www.facebook.com/sbcarscoffee?f…

Out of state tuition is just stupid, the cars aren't worth it. What kind of bio are you interested it?

Well, Scania do a 750 hp truck so all you need do is add a bit of turbo. Quite a big bit in this case.

Medical field related, probably PA school or something along those lines, med schools a stretch and quite a allot more time in school. My moms a nurse and most of my family is doing something medically related so I've spent good amount of time working/ volunteering in the hospital setting and I really enjoyed it. Also because I've tried ecology which was something that I thought I would enjoy but all the hiking in the mountains is great until your actually doing it and you realize how much you hate heights and pointy rocks.

That's awesome dude! I'm more of a research guy, currently aiming for a PhD. I've recently gotten very interested in plants , but I still think stem cells are pretty cool.

Assuming peak hp comes in at 3 000rpm, that's 3 851lb. ft. So peak torque will be wayyyy above 4 000lb. ft.

i worked on a new set of buildings for UCSB you guys just got. I was doing a CO-OP at the architects office.

the thing that killed me is I would occasionally review construction photos. It was usually when I had just showed up at the office after battling my way thru a snowstorm in 10 degree 45 mph winds

Yeah, it never gets that cold here. What exactly did you do?
![]() 04/09/2015 at 15:31 |

i got brought into the project to help with the process to get it LEED Certified and dealt with all the questions that came in during constriction, and aproved all the shop drawings coming in from the various manufactures. I'd often have to fix drawings or create details to help the contractor get it the ways it was supposed to be.

That's really cool. It's one of the prettiest/nicest buildings on campus. Kinda small world, at least 2 Subi fans are related to that building
