With a twin-turbo V6?
Won't compete with the Maserati Alfieri and an eventual Alfa 6C? Wasn't Marchionne against family feuds and any form of competition inside FCA?

Is there a new rumor of this? If so I missed it

Italians
Not Family Feuding

A rumor so hot, that articles weren't even written about it, yet.

Nice. Me gusta hot Dino related takes.
Please God give it a gated shifter if it does happen.

They won't because they can use their capacity to build and sell high-end cars that are way more profitable. IMHO.

Ferrari isnt apart of FCA anymore is it? I thought it left.

Why the dino where is the mondial?

that render looks like a cayman with an even larger fire hazard
![]() 04/07/2015 at 21:29 |

Because it's the fuuuuture.
Also that rendering looks like someone took a Cayman and made it into a Ferrari.

i would kill for a modern dino except i dont want it any faster than 4.5 0-60 and it has to have gated manual. Aim it square at cayman and alfa and clean house with a 100 k price tag. But of course ferrari doesnt cater down market.....

Lolwut Fiat owns 90% of Ferrari since El Commendatore died.

I thought they spun off of FCA
![]() 04/07/2015 at 22:09 |

they spun off 10% of what they owned
But there are rumors that they might sell more of it off
04/07/2015 at 22:10 |

They did, and the company went public, but 90% of the stock is owned by current FCA shareholders. In other words, they sold it to themselves.

$180,000 isn't exactly peasant's change. Many people don't make that in a year.

Damn that's a pretty Cayman!
![]() 04/07/2015 at 22:32 |

Man, selling to yourself. How does that even work?
04/07/2015 at 22:37 |

FCA shareholders had the option to get 90% of the Ferrari shares and keep them indefinitely. The other 10% was sold off to the public.

Copied OK.

True - but I'm being cynical. And is this something that has been proposed? Perhaps I'm out of the loop.

If Marchionne was against internal feuding, he'd either kill off FIAT in the USA or stop plans to bring back Alfa and turn Chrysler into the luxury arm it would have filled.

Maserati can't compare to Ferrari anymore (sadly), and Alfa builds franken-Chryslers. I don't think there will be any family feuds.

I think you're mistaking Alfa for Lancia. And I guess Maserati is a d-bag's choice to a lesser extent than Ferrari, so not much competition there
