Other than the transmissions, they're great cars. be sure its had the transmission recall done.

My mom had one of these, albeit not a Redline, just a plain XR V6. I'll tell you, they drive surprisingly well for a crossover, I bet the Redline even more so since it's lower and firmer suspension wise. And the 3.6L is an absolute peach of an engine. Really nice inside too, more so than a lot of GM cars of the time period.

I will warn you, there's an open recall for the 3-5-R wave plate in the transmission cracking and taking out those gears. It started to happen to my mom's back in December and that's why we got rid of it. We got a recall letter last week, go figure. I'd make sure either the transmission has already been rebuilt, or I'd take it to the dealer to have the recall work done. That one's about 10,000 miles over where it usually fails so it could have already been done.

The are actually pretty good little cars. My wife drives the hybrid version and I have maintained it with ease

Do you live in a snow state? I'm wondering how well they handle to white stuff

North Carolina, so we get 3.5 days of snow per year so not much experience on that end but I drove the Vue during our one big snow storm and it handled quite well in all season tires

Note the Cadillac wheel.

And this should be fine. Probably plenty of parts left, and pretty reliable.
