I Guess the rules don't apply to bus drivers...

This is my sister's bus. Our times don't line up every day, but this happens virtually every time we do. She just rolls the stop sign and whenever I honk, I just get a look of "deal with it" from her. You'd expect more from a person hauling about 70 kids. I'm getting real tired of it.

When I was in middle school our town had to do a selected enforcement thing against school buses since there'd been a number of accidents including some with injuries. I remember just being annoyed that we were getting pulled over every couple days on the way home from school and it was eating into my Contra time.

School divisions are paranoid about the bad press/law suits involved with accidents involving school buses, I would call the transportation office and see what kind of response you get. If they blow you off I would share it with some elected officials (school board).

First, it was halfheartedly said in jest.

Second, I didn't say get up to ramming speed and slam into the bus. My point was more since he was so close to meeting the bus at the same point almost everyday, why not leave the house a little earlier, then he will be to that point before the bus gets there.

It's one thing to roll a stop sign. It's another to do it and pull out in front of somebody who has the right of way. Not much you can do then since it's a bus... but this is your sister? Have you talked to her about it? Start there. It doesn't have to be an attack, just say 'hey, do you do that all the time or just because you see me coming?'

Technically you do not need to stop until the stop signs are out.That is why the car before the Police vehicle went through without the police bothering them.

No matter where I've been, it has always seemed that bus drivers are the worst driver the system could find. My sister's last bus driver would stop on a blind turn to let the kids off, then reverse out of the neighborhood.

Hmm as far as I knew you only needed to stop when the signs were out. Maybe its different up north however.

Youre supposed to stop behind the bus as soon as any lights start flashing, and not pass the bus until all the lights stop flashing.

The only exception is when the bus is picking up or dropping off kids in front of a school, and youre supposed to pass at a speed of no greater than 10mph. Printed clear as day when you look it up.

oh haha should make it more clear.. My younger sister rides that bus!!! No clue on the driver.

Part of the reason why it annoys me though. I care about her safety
