Who decided this looks good? They look like cheap seat covers and all that quilted shit reminds me of cheap purses. And that strip-club lighting? Not the mention the stupid retarded clown steering wheel.

If you had taste you'd buy the Rolls.

Honestly, at 200k, it's not a big deal. Odds are if you want custom colors, you have the means to get it done.

It is, S-Classes used to be stately and subtle and classy, this new one ruined everything.

Or anything else, this S-Class is way too tacky.

If you had bad taste, you could still buy one. RR are very accommodating that way. You want vulgar and are prepared to pay for it, they'll provide it.

Weren't they always? It could just be because it seems dated now, but the interior looks like a cross between airline plastics and consoles taken from mid-90s Ford SUVs:

But that screen separating shit will always look a bit wrong, in the normal versions everything was composed and quite classy.

No one buys a Maybach to sit in the front. If they do, they're doing it wrong.

Ok fine. But I'm talking about the general feel and design.

Wait - I though Maybach was dead. Did I miss something?

It was resurrected as a trim level for the new S-Class. The Mercedes-Maybach S600.

Huh. I've written in this space before that most of the Maybachs I see here are used by hotels to shuttle rich people around the city. And they are uniformly ugly.
And, from what I've read, a lot of them wound up in Middle Eastern countries. Can anyone weigh in? Do you see these things in Europe, Australia, South America?

seen 1 only here in Australia , and that was at a dealer.
i think i read somewhere they only sold about 12 or 13 Maybachs in Australia.
yet i saw 3 in New York in 2009.
