Bonus news; The Grand Wagoneer is on track for 2018 and will be a Range Rover competitor slotted above the already nice GC. Sounds like its going to be a winner.

I'm assuming aftermarket companies will offer woodgrain vinyl for the Wagoneers even if Jeep doesn't. All the same, they should. And a slightly more chromey, Kaiserey grill.

From the sounds of it Sergio is pushing for genuine pomp and circumstance with the Grand Wagoneer plus the dismal failure of the Commander means that retro touches (aside from a 7 bar grill) are going to be few and far between.

Well, given that the Flex has a callout to wood on the gate and there are aftermarket woodgrains available, those points should at least be possible. Also, with the Commander, I'm not sure "retro! to ten years ago!" was what the market wanted, so that's on them. I just want a big chunk of horizontal bar'ey goodness, is that too much to ask?

(answer, "yes, because Jeep have so focused on seven-bar-grilling everything to the point of fuckpuppetry their other historic schools of design are cheerfully playing Russian Roulette with an automatic in the corner")

They never were going to mess with the Wrangler, they sell so damn many of them. Not to mention its for all intents and purposes Jeep's halo.

It's a good point, Jeep has an opportunity here to NOT use the 7 bar grill, which would actually work well on a product thats aiming as lofty as this new GW is.

Is it too much to ask for a power folding top? That doesn't leak?

The current top design dates back to 1942, with performance to be expected of a 70 yr old design. Since then, we've nuked some stuff (both at war and in the kitchen), put a man on the moon, beat the Russians in hockey, and developed a network of computers that store every bit of information ever known, while being accessible from anywhere by something you keep in your pocket.

It's not a stretch to say it's the most important individual vehicle in the entire FCA line-up. Jeep is the brand that has been and will continue driving FCAs growth, and Jeep is Jeep because of the Wrangler.

Two peopl, that are't car guys in the least have told me if I know what the Wagoneer is. I told them sure, and they responded with how its coming back and how excited they are.

I have no clue where they got this info, but people are listening.
