If you haven't heard yet, I suffered a loss today at the hands of an absent minded jerk faced jerk. My Cadillac was rear ended by a Camry today at lunch. I had my car towed to a shop and they already came back with a response. the rear sub frame, is cracked. Repair would be well over the value of the car and thus is a write off. This blows.
Or does it?
My car was insured by my insurance company as being valued just over 6k. And I hoping their insurance pays that out. I mean look people, don't go hitting cars that cost more to repair than replace if you don't wanna have to pay out for them when they are totaled.
any ways, I'm starting to think, what should I get for my next car? As I look back over the years of multi generation Cadillac owner ship I'm having to slow creeping feeling that maybe I have been wrong. Maybe Cadillacs aren't what I want, need, no crave. I mean really, we all know that in the grand scheme of things no one respects the Cadillac name, no matter how good the car is. And really how good are the cars? Reliability of the north star has been an issue, build quality is slightly north of a dodge, there is no prestige in the brand, and quick frankly they are just not that luxurious. But whats a proud american to do? I can't own a BMW, Merc, or god forbid a Lexus. Too many good Americans died so that I could drive an american car! It would be an insult to them and their sacrifice!
So naturally I think it's time I stop living a lie. The only true choice for real Americans is to drive a Lincoln! they far surpass anything Cadillac has had on the market for years! Which is why I am currently on the way to go look at this:

Actually, good Americans died so we can have all those vehicles. I doubt any German or Japanese manufacturer would export to us if we had lost the war in Europe/Japan.

So you'd rather drive a Lincoln Fusion than a CADILLAC?!
WHAT.

I'm Jewish. I drive a German car. No hard feelings. Well, maybe. But I like their cars.

dude. I know, but lets be honest here. Cadillac makes junk. She couldn't even take one little sub 40mph impact from a Camry with out getting totaled. I bet this fine Lincoln is build with ounly the BEST and FINEST materials! and what little (pft hardly any at all) this shares with a fusion is barely even relavent. Lincoln only makes the best luxury american cars! I'm also going to look at at this:

which was soo good jaguar even built a car on it!

Germany and Japan have been allies for a lot longer than they were foes. Give up the grudge, man. We won. Spoils of war and whatnot.

I actually really liked the current generation MKZ when I tested it. And they are getting cheaper every day on the used market. Good value in luxury, with the reliability of any other Ford product.
