Happy Birthday to lil'505
mine will be 3 in a couple months, how the times flies (however sitting here in coffee soaked pants has made time slow down quite a bit)

congrats to both of you. Little girls are just the best. I'm not stoked for the teen years but I'll just ignore those days are coming

Happy Bday to PrincessMechanic.
Secure her that name and gmail since we'll run out in the future lol.

that's quite a prank. When does it end? (hint, in 12 more years)
My youngest daughter is 6 too. Both my kids have this speed bug, they giggle and laugh and want more when I hit the throttle.
Funny conversation the other day... Me: "The old buick is REALLY fast now" 6yo: "Does it go 100 percent?" Me: "Yes, yes it does!" Her: "YESSSS" (with elaborate fist pump) Me: (aside) "
"

Yes! The buick is running great. Hoping to get the trunk repaired this weekend, found a great fabricating shop in Salisbury who is totally down with our little project and wants in. He's going to weld up the trunk floor for us, then I can put the trailer hitch back on and it's ready for a road trip! The power coming out of this thing is just awesome. Completely intoxicating!

A princess mechanic can sense a pea-sized bolt under a creeper and two layers of oil-dri.

Well, it's probably a sentence that's never been typed before, anyway.

My girls are 18. I still can't believe I'm almost done raising my kids. Seems like only a couple years ago that my son was born.
And now I'm all melancholy ...

so how does that feel anyhow once you are settled into the empty nest thing?

Not there yet. Two leave for college in the fall and one is with us for another year because she spent last school year in Germany on an exchange program so she's a Junior this year.
I don't think I'll be quite the basketcase I was when we dropped my son off at Cal last fall. That absolutely gutted me; I was an emotional wreck for the first couple hours of our drive back to San Diego.

yeah mine are 3 years apart, so I will probably have forgotten what dropping off or booting out the first one will feel like:)
Dont tell her that, they will be fine teenagers!
