There was a Subaru magical girl anime that was covered by either Jalopnik or Kotaku , but I also came across this series of anime shorts that promotes Toyota's hybrid tech. People keep saying that there's an LFA in it, but I'm pretty sure they're referring to the Toyota GT 86 that one character drives.
I find the notion of a promotional anime commissioned by an automaker to be somewhat interesting, but I haven't watched all 7 episodes of this yet. It's also on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Fascinating. Also, everything is on CrunchyRoll. *Everything*.

I saw this and give you Shirobako.
Yes, that is a Nissan March vs Suzuki Alto. It's not a gearhead focused anime, but the cars is always interesting. March, Alto, VW beetle, Prius (with 20" Rims!), Alfa Giulietta, the lot.
And who could forget the awesomeness of the Next-A-Class Anime?

Not *everything*, but an amazingly convincing facsimile!
