In this ad the seller claims to have turned down "$4000 for just the carb" which is $4000 more than the entire package is worth.
And what's with the blind guy designed body kit made of bondo?
I'm speechless.

to answer the title question: of course :p

Has there ever been a Ferrari in worse shape?
Yes.

Buy it and give it a viking burial to put it out of its misery.

Came to the comments for burning Ferraris. Leaving satisfied :D

Depreciation is usually the enthusiast's best friend, but the side effect is that it also makes otherwise desirable cars cheap enough for idiots to ruin.

Fast 'N Loud Ferrari F40 showed up in pretty darn bad shape.

There is a killer Daytona drop top in the background. Obviously someone there knows something about Ferrari autos.
But this...this is bad.

I'm too lazy to find the link, but it's somewhere on my Kinja blog. There was a completely stripped 308 GTS sorta like Magnum PI's ride that I found on Craigslist. It was about $4,000 and looked like a complete basketcase.

Y'know, aside from the bondo body kit, which looks like it might be hiding rust... the rest of the parts (I'm not gonna call it a car) look like a viable restoration project. I'd probably offer him $4000 for it I knew the right people to help me with the job.

read the ad: the Daytona is a replica.

If you want to cut up a car why wouldn't you save the cash and just buy an MR2 or a Fiero. This dude has basically thrown away thousands.

Ran when parked in knee-deep water 5 years ago....

Hah! 15 grand my ass.
At this point, this heaps' purpose would best be served if it is stripped down to bare bones and driven as a go-kart. Wouldn't pay more than 4/5 grand for the whole thing.

Holy shit, CP all goddamn day...
If I saw that on the street, I might offer him a hundred or so for the steering wheel, but thats it.

Killing that 308 with fire would be considered a mercy killing. Poor thing deserved better than that.

It's not even a real Ferrari.

That's, at least, one zero too many.

So was the one in Miami Vice. I'm okay with Daytona replicas if only for that.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 18:36 |

Yeah, but at least that was a Ferrari. This is a Dino.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 18:37 |

At least, if it were a real Ferrari, it could self-immolate.
As a fake one, there's nothing that can save this horror.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 18:37 |

Well, it was a '75 Dino. They were pretty awful to begin with.

Pretty sure that my MR2 is going to be faster for 1/3 of the price. More reliable, too. Just as hideous, however. There's a reason he's named Charlie.

I have a weakness for wedge shaped cars.

I don't blame you. Plus, old Ferraris are like pizza. Even when they're bad, they are still pretty good. ;)
![]() 03/31/2015 at 18:47 |

False.
I once had a "cajun" pizza with chicken and baby corn.
That was awful.

Yes, there are exceptions ... Like the Mondial!

He's trying to sell that car too, but is too cheap to pay for a second ebay ad. So there are pix of it tacked on to the Ferrari listing. Lol

Crack Pipe. For a few thousand more, you can get one in much better condition.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 20:11 |

At the bottom of the add he says that it's a Corvette with a body kit. I don't think anybody owns a Ferrari as awful as that 308 and also a Daytona Spyder.

the seats look really nice, actually... Of course there are no up-close of the stitching. But knowing how much decent upholstery work costs, I'd offer him $4000 based on the seats and "the rest".

There's humorous trolling, and then there's just dumb. I really hope you're trying for funny.

The 308 Coupe looks awful. However, I've got $10. Will that cover it?
![]() 03/31/2015 at 22:57 |

did you actually look at the listing? the seats are out of the car and have been recovered, or at least restored surprisingly well. there's also a ton of parts, maybe even a whole car's worth! like I said, $4000 for everything seems reasonable for that many Ferrari parts and a nice set of vintage Italian seats. not that isn't still sketchy as fuck.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 23:22 |

Maybe it's just a trust issue, but I don't think I see a genuine Ferrari anything there.
Yay, his Corvette kit car has a Ferrari registration! (God knows how, and God help you if you try to register it anywhere else. Plus, that adds a layer of ultra-sketch to everything else)
Those seats look like garbage, recovered to look like baggy garbage.
![]() 03/31/2015 at 23:34 |

oh, its definitely a bad idea, and not worth the 15k BIN, but I can think of a number of sacrilegious places that drive-line could live if it's not too bad off... maybe offer $2000 cash and a vial of crack?
![]() 04/01/2015 at 00:54 |

Meow we're talking.
I'd start with a vial of flaky sea salt, plus $20, and slowly work up from there.
