I know, lily white NPR is racist, rite??!?! No, seriously. This is like "Chink in the Armor" stupid. Just check the right column of that page.

Anyway, getting past dumb editers, what's with FAKE OUTRAGE??!?!?!? OMG, he tweeted these anti-semitic and misogynist jokes. Demonize him. Demonize HIM SO HARD! As one of the commenters put it: "Jon Stewart never made fun of Jews or women... except for the thousands of times he did."

But get a group of five bloggers together and they'll talk so much shit that this guy will resign.

It's like the Starbucks Race Together thing. If we make fun of the medium, people will forget the message. So Starbucks DARED to say something... better go after them for not being extrafuckingsupersensitive and savvy until they regret trying to advance the conversation and call it off.

PC Police are going overboard. PC Police have driven me from the Limp Left to the stable middle.

But aren't blogs becoming headlines? CNN tried to whip us into a frenzy over Jamie Foxx's really really bad jokes, but it came off like a really really lame Perez Hilton blog entry.

I know news has always had this bad rep for being sensationalist, but this is new-level stuff. Say something off-color—EVER—and it's on the record and we'll crucify you because that's our job.

Do we really want people with boring-ass personalities, no sense of humor, and no penchant for taking risk to be business/social/political leaders because they happen to be next in line to take the place of the people who were recorded saying something stupid?

The one and only issue I had with his tweets were that the jokes weren't that funny. You can do jokes about anything, but if it's gonna be on a possibly offensive subject, they better be funny as hell.

Protip to prevent butthurt - None of those tweets are what racism, misogyny, and hate actually look like. Some people just get a high traveling from outrage to outrage. So hard to believe that in a world where people from many different backgrounds face credible and dangerous threats every day, that a professional comedian making a joke about white chicks' asses even makes a blip on the radar.

True. That's why Foxxxx got skewered. His schtick was terrible.

And situational, anecdotal, day-to-day "I saw a Jewish kid and almost hit him with my BMW—I would've felt so guilty" is just lazy, and it just doesn't work. It's like people trying to do Louis CK—be mundane but it'll somehow be funny.

Yeah, if you're Louis CK. Who it probably didn't happen to anyway, but he convinced us of it and it was funny.

Hah, yeah, that's the truth.

Combine that with what is allegedly important now, that in the grand scheme might be trivial to the point of making whole subsets of America seem woefully out of touch.

NPR once ran a segment on schoolkids being allowed to create personal pronouns to refer to themselves in (e.g. Ze/Zim/Zer for someone that wanted to be genderless—Iknow... how cute and enlightened) and an email rolled in on Friday to say "Yeah, you know people in faraway countries are being killed for being gay, so maybe you should tone down the stories about what precocious rich kids like to call themselves."

Call me crazy but I think Trevor Noah had some insight into what real racism is. You, that whole growing up in Soweto during Apartheid.

Also that is very much South African humour, which takes getting used to.

Truly. I'd never heard of the man before this. But allegedly his mother, black, was jailed and fined for her illegal marriage to his father, white. Man. That's white privilege right there in the craziest way.

Anyway, if you want South African humor, look no further than Die Antvoord, IMO.
