No, not really. Diesels is a thing, perhaps more so in Europe though, but diesels with more power than you'll ever need is not something new is it.

indeed. People here see diesels as slow, smoky pieces of junk. Mine's been in the family for 11 years now, and it's been the best car my family's had, only issues were caused by incompetent mechanics.

For me the main problem with diesel engines is the NOx stuff, I've driven quite a few of my gasoline powered cars on E85, but that won't help the environment either.

And yes I DO care about the environment, pollution and all that. I wish we could find a fuel that would make it so we could keep the awesome noise of a combustion engine, but save the nature as well :)
